Glenn v Brumby

This is the ERT case summary of the decision of the United States Court of Appeals Eleventh Circuit in Glenn v Brumby (No. 10-14833, 10-15015). The Court held that discriminating against someone on the basis of his or her gender non-conformity constitutes sex-based discrimination under the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

The Equal Rights Trust - Universal Periodic Review Submission: Moldova and gender-based discriminatory ill-treatment (21 March 2011)

On 21 March 2011, The Equal Rights Trust (ERT) made a stakeholder submission on the Republic of Moldova to the twelfth session of the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Working Group on the Universal Periodic Review (UPR). The submission focussed on the issue of gender discrimination and gender-based ill-treatment in Moldova, and urged that Moldova adopt comprehensive anti-discrimination legislation and take concrete steps to ensure gender equality.
