ERT Research Working Paper: The Protection of Stateless Persons in Detention

This paper has been produced as part of an Equal Rights Trust (ERT) project to document the detention or restriction of stateless persons. Its purpose is to explore how a lack of effective nationality can impact on the right to be free from arbitrary detention or restriction of liberty. The paper highlights how stateless persons in a number of countries appear at risk of arbitrary detention.
