In 2014, Pakistan was the second lowest performing country in terms of gender equality in the World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report. The Equal Rights Trust spoke with Shazia (not her real name) about her experiences of discrimination and sexual harassment working in the print media in Pakistan. Her story, and those of her colleagues, highlight the sexism and stereotypes that pervade the every-day working life of women in Pakistan.
