This submission, made by the Equal Rights Trust, is based on its report providing a comprehensive analysis of discrimination in Ukraine. It examines Ukraine’s compliance with the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination, focusing in particular on the enjoyment of rights of minority groups and racially and ethnically discriminatory laws. The Trust's research identified that certain racial and ethnic minority groups in Ukraine experience considerable discrimination, including mostly notably the Roma, Crimean Tatars and Jews. It was submitted to the 90th session of the Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in relation to the combined 22nd and 23rd periodic reports submitted by Ukraine.
