The Equal Rights Trust works exists to eliminate all forms of discrimination and ensure that everyone can participate in society on an equal basis. To achieve this mission, we work in partnership with equality defenders – civil society representatives, lawyers, journalists, government representatives, and others committed to using law to create an equal world – providing them with the technical, strategic and practical support they need to work for the adoption of comprehensive equality laws.

Our work is needed now more than ever. 2020 has shone a harsh light on the inequalities within our societies, and the failure to address the systemic discrimination which feeds them. 2021 is our chance to fight back! We must emerge from this year of crisis with a renewed commitment to eliminate discrimination and create an equal world.

The time to act is now. Join us!

Every donation helps us to support those using the law to create an equal world.

Gift Aid Your Donation Gift Aid Logo

Gift Aid is a scheme which allows us to reclaim the tax made on your donations at no cost to you, helping your donations to go further. If you are a UK tax payer for every pound you donate to us, we will receive an extra 25p from the Inland Revenue. This means for every £10 you donate we can actually claim £12.50. For £100 we can receive £125!

Eligible for Gift Aid?
We can only claim Gift Aid on your donations if you pay at least the basic rate of income or capital gains tax in the UK. You must ensure that you pay an amount of tax, in a year, equal or greater than the amount of tax that we will be able to reclaim on your donation (25p currently, for every £1 donated). If you are not a UK taxpayer, for example if you are retired or a student, Gift Aid does not apply to you.
